Earl Warren Middle School is a middle school/junior high located in Solana Beach. The school was founded in the 1950s, and is dedicated to Earl Warren the former governor of California. It is one of the California Distinguished Schools and National Blue Ribbon School. It has the smallest enrollment population of all the schools in the San Dieguito Union High School District. The feeder schools towards Earl Warren Middle School include, Skyline, Del Mar Hills, Del Mar Heights, Solana Santa Fe, and a few more.

Sports

The sports teams of Earl Warren are of a broad variety. Including Flag Football, Track and Field, Cross Country, Lacrosse, Basketball, and Wrestling. In the 2009-2010 year, the Boy's Seventh Grade Basketball Team won the San Dieguito Championship.

Spelling Bee

Alex Kahng won the 2009-2010 Earl Warren Spelling Bee, and went to compete in the District Level, where he won, and competed at National Level.

Geography Bee

In the 09-10 school year, 7th grader John Menhennet won at school level, later going on to the state competition and placing seventh in California. 8th grader Nikhil Palanki won in 10-11, going on to state and also placing seventh in California. These events are part of the National Geographic Bee.

Academic Achievements

Earl Warren participates in Science Olympiad, and in 2009-2010, competed at State Level, receiving 5th Place overall. Earl Warren competes in AMC, Math Olympiad, Math Counts, National Geographic Bee, and the National Spelling Bee. Earl Warren is also the 2nd best middle school in the county in 2009
